The Italian manufacturer is demonstrating an enhanced version of the Kombo TH SuperPlotter on its 150m2 stand (1-G40) at the show.
Elitron founder Giuseppe Gallucci said: “Thanks to the two independent cutting heads the machine speed, performance and productivity are increased, the production cycle is simplified, and working time is halved.”
Because the two heads can work independently they can also work on two different types of material, for example different thicknesses of Forex, or Forex and cardboard.
“It’s like having two cutters in one and this is unique at Fespa,” added marketing executive Martina Montani.
Elitron is also showing its smaller-format Kombo EL plotter, which is designed to be fast and flexible and is targeted at applications such as product sampling and small batch production.
Also on the firm’s booth is its Heleva automated feeding system for wide-format printers.
For double-sided print applications the Heleva can now align sheets on the left- or right-hand margins. Material stacks can be as high as 1.9m and down to floor level. “We can set it for different printer infeed heights,” explained Montani.
The Heleva loading table can also be raised to a safe height allow access to the printer for maintenance, or for manual loading if required.
“Our customers are more and more looking for solutions that allow increasing productivity. This comes through using control systems to manage machines and processes, reducing human intervention on repetitive, low value-added tasks,” Gallucci stated.
