Version 5.0 is able to support an additional 50 printers on top of more than 450 already configured to work with the previous version, 4.5. Third party grand format printers added include Océ Arizona, Agfa Anapurna M, HP Scitex, and also support EFI’s superwide machines as before, such as the Vutek and Rastek.
The new version is also fitted with a new Adobe PDF Print Engine 2.6 with the ability to run up to four parallel instances of the APPE for faster PDF processing. Color Profiler Suite 4 has been added to the new package, and an additional 336 Pantone ColorBridge and solid colours can be accessed. Spot Color editing has also been enhanced to enable more precise spot colour matching.
Users can fully customise the interface of Version 5.0, which enhances its usability. The Fiery XF can be tailored to specific tasks and enables quick viewing of the job data to reduce time wasted tracking down where inefficiencies lie.
Two basic options are available with the new system: Fiery XF Production and Fiery XF Proofing. Production consists of Fiery XF with spot colour and production options for £1,951, while the Proofing package, £2,163, comprises Fiery XF, spot colour and colour verifier.
But Fiery XF is completely modular and can be expanded by up to 20 different options.
Fiery vice president of marketing John Henze said: "Advancements included in our new Fiery wide format software gives print professionals more power than ever to produce accurate, high-quality work quickly and reliably."
"The new, customisable interface makes the system easier to use, as it can be tailored to meet each customer’s exact production needs."
