From 36gsm to 70gsm

Delfort highlights inkjet paper benefits at HID

Publishing applications include DM and books

Specialty papermaker Delfort has showcased its lightweight, thin paper range at Hunkeler Innovationdays.

The Austria-headquartered group makes papers used in a number of niche applications, such as electrical insulation, baking and cooking, and battery separators.

Its product range also includes PFAS-free packaging papers and the Thinprint range targeted at publishing applications including direct mail and books that typically require lightweight papers, such as religious texts.

Thinprint also includes inkjet treated papers suitable for mono and full-colour printing using pigment and dye ink systems.

Delfort said the papers boasted a unique surface treatment and primers or bonding agents were not required with its Thinjet and Thinjet Silk papers.

The papers are available in weights from 36gsm to 70gsm and in reels or sheets.

Other potential applications include leaflets for pharma and beauty products.

Overall the Delfort Group produces more than 1,500 types of specialty paper.

Hunkeler Innovationdays is taking place at Messe Lucerne and runs until Thursday (27 February).
