The Northamptonshire-based company, which has also updated its prepress software to the latest versions of MetaDimension and Signastation, switched to processless plates in a bid to reduce its environmental impact.

The Suprasetter A52 will be used to feed two Printmasters, a PM 52-5 and a PM 52-2, and a Speedmaster SM 52-4.

Dats Print managing director Mark Brown said: "Normally we would invest in new CTP every three years but market conditions made us cautious so we held on for five. Our old Prosetter worked well but had served its time and now we have the latest technology in the Suprasetter."

Commercial printer Dats Print was founded in 1973 and employs around 30 staff.
