Founded in 2004, Shining 3D develops products including scanners for multiple industries and applications, additive manufacturing printers for both consumer and industrial markets, and specialist 3D materials. It also offers 3D design and manufacturing capability and a 3D network cloud platform.
Shining 3D vice president of global sales Oscar Meza said: “As the demand for 3D digitising and 3D printing technology continues to increase, we are excited to partner with ArtSystems to bring our comprehensive range of 3D solutions to British customers.
“To date we have opened two overseas offices to support our steady increase in global business and provide a better service for our customers. One is in Stuttgart, Germany, and the other in San Francisco, US. Engaging with ArtSystems brings us to the UK.
“In leveraging ArtSystems’ marketing and distribution expertise with Shining 3D’s quality products, this new partnership will strengthen both companies’ business. It is a positive strategic move and a great foundation for mutual success.”
The trade-only distribution agreement, which will see ArtSystems sell to resellers to create "a managed channel of value-add partners" is effective as of The TCT Show, which was held at Birmingham's NEC at the end of September, and the business will receive its first stocks of the machinery in the coming days.
ArtSystems’ 3D product specialist Will Glass said Shining 3D’s product range is the “perfect fit” for its 3D portfolio, which also comprises systems from Makerbot and Stratasys.
“This partnership takes us further into the dynamic and growing market of immersive technology and we are looking forward to the fresh opportunities it will create for our customers,” he said.
“We shall be working with Shining 3D to create a strong partner channel able to offer innovative and profitable 3D scanning solutions, and to help our customers meet the challenges and the opportunities presented by the fast-developing Industry 4.0 in the manufacturing industry.”
