Launched this week to the global market, the new model will ship from Q2 2024.
“We are excited to unveil the next generation of the Anapurna H3200,” said Philip Van der Auwera, Agfa’s sign and display product manager.
“Since the debut of the first Anapurna over two decades ago, the printer family has undergone multiple enhancements and expansions. Renowned for its exceptional versatility and unwavering reliability, the new version of the Anapurna H3200 now combines these attributes with a boost in productivity and improved quality.
“This step underscores Agfa’s commitment to innovation and delivering top-notch solutions that align with the evolving needs of our customers.”
Final prices for the printer from Agfa UK will be revealed at the Fespa Global Print Expo in Amsterdam in March, though Printweek understands it will cost no more than €300,000 (£256,000).
Like its predecessor, the H3200 will feature a six-colour plus white inkset, with UV-LED curing. The new model’s improvements, however, lie in a redesign of the print shuttle and engine, with production mode speeds now ramped up to 66sqm/hr and improved quality on both flexible and rigid substrates.
The new H3200 has also been equipped with continuous board feeder and a new protective closure for a safe working environment.
The machine will be on display first at C!Print in Lyon next month, alongside Agfa’s Jeti Tauro H3300 HS 3.3m inkjet press, before featuring on Agfa’s stand at Fespa.
