Jon Lancaster, managing director, Falkland Press "At Drupa we will be looking for an automated folder, a folder to fit to an existing stitcher and a waste extraction system. We want to up our finishing capability and bring it inline with the increased speed of our XL 75. One investment we have already signed for is an office revamp, as ours is a bit messy. It was thrown in when we bought the factory so we are putting in something a bit more up market. It took me a long time to make the investment, as its £50,000, but I am really looking forward to it."
Duarte Goncalves, managing director, DXG Media "This coming year is our 10th year of trading and so, yes, we are looking to invest so that we ensure we can carry on competing at the highest level. We will be upgrading our five-year-old Heidelberg Topsetter CTP unit to a new Suprasetter and we’ll be buying Heidelberg Image Control to link our B2 and B1 Heidelberg presses. We are also revisiting our software needs including new web-to-print solutions. During Drupa we also plan to look into the option of upgrading our Heidelberg CD 102."
Tyrone Spence, chief executive, BCQ Group "August and September have been good and I hope the run-up to Christmas for us – and the rest of the industry – is positive as well. Going forward, we are looking to invest in people and invest in our clients. With the imminent opening of a new office, we want to look after our customers more and provide them a stronger service. Earlier this year we expanded with a 1,200m2 warehousing facility to improve our fulfilment offering with the addition of increased capacity for storage, pick-and-pack and dedicated client
pallet areas."
