PrintWeek's pick of the new wide-format on show at Fespa
Barbieri Electronic Stand N31N
Barbieri will show for the first time Spectropad DOC, a new portable spectrophotometer for professional digital printing with ‘Digital Output Control’ option. The device is built to measure a variety of different media used in professional digital printing including large- and wide-format, and enables the operator to do this directly on the printer rather than on a computer.
Elitron Stand G10S
Elitron’s new Elipack software will be launched at Fespa. Elipack is a new parametric modular CAD software for the realisation in 2D and 3D of structural drawings and prototyping of rigid and corrugated cardboard boxes.
GMG Stand G50S
This developer of colour management software will be outlining the benefits of its GMG ProductionSuite, and introducing the latest iteration: GMG ProductionSuite 2.0. The vendor will be showcasing the software’s efficient job preparation, data preflight, colour management and identical repetition features and explaining how the software can lower cost through reduced ink consumption.
Onyx Stand H17S
Onyx Graphics will be showcasing its latest RIP technology, Onyx Thrive, an end-to-end PDF workflow product for large-format digital printers based on Adobe PDF Print Engine technologies. Also showcased will be the SmartApps family of Adobe plug-ins, including SmartApps PitStop Pro, SmartApps VehicleWraps plug-in for Adobe Illustrator and SmartApps Sign&Banner.
Optimus Stand E3S
Optimus will be showcasing Optimus Dash MIS, for automating estimating and job bag creation, and creating an integrated approach to stock control, purchasing, e-commerce and accounts. Optimus Cloud will also take centre stage, while Cloud Mobile will show real-time MIS tablet device ordering capability.
SAI Stand H45S
The new SAI Flexi Cloud and SAI PhotoPrint Cloud web-based tools will be shown at booth H45S. Also on show will be SAI’s modular print production software PixelBlaster. The SAI team will also showcase modular print production software SAI PixelBlaster’s tools including file verification, RIP, proofing, N-Colour support, contour cutting, output check & preview, last minute correction tools, easy tiling, and automated finishing options for grommets, Fotoba marks and hems. There will also be hands-on demonstrations on SAI EnRoute 5 3D CAD/CAM Suite.
Tharstern Stand P45N
Management Information System (MIS) developer Tharstern will be showcasing Primo, its flagship enterprise solution, at Fespa. The company will also use the show to launch Primo Live, a brand new mobile estimating app for the iPad, which, according to the company, ensures sales team have all the tools they need to provide quicker quotes, win more business and increase efficiencies - without having to step into the office.
