The machine, which includes the Optics 80 spec, which means full-size plates can be made in 12 minutes, was originally installed as a beta but has now been bought as part of a 500,000 investment across YRG's York and Manchester sites.

YRG group director Dave Cowley (pictured) said: "YRG has had a long and successful relationship with Esko's team for flexographic imaging. Our firm provides external partnerships supplying Esko's CDI range along with training for workflow and colour management, and technical support."

Esko Graphics sales manager for the UK and Ireland, Paul Bates said YRG had previously installed a CDI at the site of a label printer customer before controlling it remotely.
