Yeomans Creative buys Direct Works mailing house assets, employs 10 former staff

Print management company Yeomans Creative has bought mailing house Direct Works.

Ten Direct Works staff have been employed at the Maidstone-based company, which appointed liquidators Vantis Business Recovery on 23 January this year.

Direct Works will now be integrated into Yeomans, creating a 21-staff business.

Yeomans is planning to integrate the account management and sales departments of the two companies together and has said it may relocate the new business closer to its Paddock Wood site.

Director of Yeomans Alistair Hill said: "Direct Works was a long-standing supplier of ours and when it failed we took the decision to acquire the assets, equipment and employ 10 staff.

"The acquisition of Direct Works' assets is a win-win for the 11-strong team at Yeomans, our customers, and the 10 local people whose jobs we have been able to save.

The new division will be headed up by Phil Broad, who is also a director at Yeomans.

Yeomans was established in 2005 and deals predominantly with the charity sector, including organisations such as World Vision, Habitat for Humanity, Anthony Nolan Trust and Pilgrims Hospice.
