XBM has purchased a circa-1,500sqm building in Morley, Leeds, where it plans to move its head office to.
The business has now acquired four buildings over the past decade thanks to financial aid and support from NatWest, including its current 743sqm headquarters in Leeds in 2013, a site in Newcastle in 2015, two Birmingham sites in 2018 and 2019, and a Glasgow site in 2023.
The managed print and technology reseller also offers Kyocera and Ricoh production printers, and Epson label printers and wide-format kit, among a raft of other hardware from major manufacturers.
NatWest said it had been impressed with XBM’s focus on sustainability. XBM has partnered with Epson to provide heat-free print technology, and Ecologi to offset its own carbon footprint. XBM now plants 165 trees for every Epson printer it installs.
Richard Taylor, managing director and a shareholder in XBM, said: “We have always wanted to run the business with a focus on being sustainable and with NatWest’s help this is now turning our dream into a reality.”
Justin English, chairman and also a shareholder in XBM, added: “The purchase of XBM’s new Leeds HQ and our continued growth will create an additional 45 jobs and we are determined for our vision for the business to become a reality with the help of NatWest.
“We currently employ 65 staff across the four main sites and hope to almost double this figure in the next two years.”
XBM currently turns over more than £7m, which it plans to increase to over £30m with NatWest’s ongoing help on its latest expansion and future plans.
Paul McCarron, relationship director at NatWest, also commented on the deal: “Here at NatWest, we’re all about thinking into the future and a big part of that is sustainability, so to see Justin’s passion around sustainability, it was a no brainer, we had to get involved!
“Justin has been phenomenal to work with. His drive and passion are second to none and the results XBM have produced the last couple of years are truly astonishing. We couldn’t be prouder.”
