Wyndeham Press Group has joined Impac Europe in signing for a MAN Roland DICOweb at Drupa.
Chief executive Bryan Bedson, visiting Drupa with a team of top Wyndeham management, said they were yet to decide which of Wyndehams plants would install the machine. Among its operations is Essex-based magazine printer ET Heron, which prints PrintWeek. "We dont know yet, but what we do know is that it will be the first in the UK we must stay at the forefront of technology," Bedson said.
Christian Knapp, MAN Rolands regional sales director, added: "We wanted one in the UK. Its a strong market for MAN Roland, with very professional printers."
Bedson quipped: "What he means is we can print better than the Germans!"
Roland has reported massive worldwide interest in the machine, which it promoted at Drupa with the slogan "forget your plates".
