Wong, whose son JT remains with the group as corporate development director, intends to focus on his other business interests, which include a publishing company and another AIM-listed group.
"I have enjoyed working with all the management team at TripleArc since its foundation in 2000 and leave the group now well positioned to take advantage of the many diverse opportunities available," he said.
TripleArc chief executive Jason Cromack said Wong had made an "invaluable" contribution to the group. "We are recruiting a new non-executive, so it's a case of watch this space," he added.
The group's share price recently took a hit when it announced profits for this year would be below last year's level.
Shares were trading at 7.5p as PrintWeek closed.
