Effective 6 January, Nick Wells has stepped up from the role of CEO to become executive chairman of the Whistl Group and will focus on the strategic direction and growth of the overall business.
Alistair Cochrane will now take up the role of CEO. He was previously chief development officer, a position that will not be replaced as it has now been consolidated into other existing roles. Nigel Polglass will continue as chief operating officer, Manoj Parmar will remain as chief financial officer, and Whistl Doordrop Media managing director Mark Davies will also continue in his current role.
“I am honoured to take on the role of CEO at Whistl and continue to work with the exceptionally talented people that we have across the group,” said Cochrane.
“The company continues to grow and develop across all the markets that Whistl operates within and I am really looking forward to continuing to be a part of the success of the company going forward.”
Whistl is on target to become a £1bn-turnover business through strong organic growth and an acquisition strategy capitalising on the opportunities in e-commerce services.
Headquartered in Marlow, the Whistl group of companies currently employs 2,400 staff across 22 UK sites and handles over 3.6 billion items a year. In November the business acquired sampling specialist Relish from Kin + Carta.
