The firm, formed from an MBO of George Waterston & Sons print, direct mail and office supplies divisions (PrintWeek, June 12), is now moving Mackenzie & Storrie 13 miles from Leith to Newbridge, near Edinburgh Airport.
Director Geoff Waterston said the move would happen before Christmas and there would be no job losses among the 25 staff at Mackenzie & Storrie.
The firm bought Mackenzie & Storrie last year but didnt have enough power supply in Newbridge to relocate sooner.
Two six-colour Heidelberg 74s, a single-colour GTO and a two-colour B2 press are going to the new plant with a Xerox DocuTech and CTP kit.
Waterstons Mackenzie Storrie and George Waterston (Security Printers) split following the MBO but continue to share premises.
New recruits at Waterstons Mackenzie Storrie include sales manager Angus Forbes, who joined from Dundee printer Robert L Parker & Co, customer services manager Lesley Blyth from Scotmail and Pre-press supervisor Hamish Clarke from local firm Metro Press.
