Machines up for auction include an HP Latex R2000 flatbed and Latex 800W, an Epson SureColor V7000, Canon Colorado 1650 and ImagePro 6100S, and Summa S2T160 plotter.
Much of the kit is in "strong condition", according to auctioneer G. J. Wisdom’s co-director, Shane Wisdom.
He told Printweek that the kit was largely 2022 and 2021 models, with older machinery typically purchased from 2018-19, from Wahooti’s transfer of production from Carlisle to London pre-pandemic.
G. J. Wisdom was approached by Wahooti directors at the beginning of November. A viewing day at the firm’s site in Paddock Wood, near Tonbridge in Kent, will take place on 28 November, before an online auction on 30 November.
According to its most recent accounts, made up to March 2022, the firm had 10 employees.
Printweek understands that the loss of one or several large clients put the company in sufficient difficulty to approach insolvency practitioners, although there has been no formal appointment at this time.
