The mobile phone giant is currently handling its print management in-house after it parted company with Northampton-based firm The Print Factory (PrintWeek, 9 September).
A source at Vodafone said that no final decision had been made on its print strategy but hinted that it was an "opportunity for printers we have not done business with before".
"There still remain projects that The Print Factory is completing and it has been very professional about the current situation," the source said.
While Vodafone has confirmed that The Print Factory will no longer provide print management services, it wouldn't be drawn on whether the company would remain a supplier following its "shake up". The Print Factory managing director Steve Brundle said he looked forward to continuing to work with Vodafone as a supplier.
Vodafone has also declined to respond to speculation whether its move to in-house print buying will be permanent. The source said that it currently had "two skilled buyers" working on projects.
