The event, which is running this year with the theme Sustainability through Innovation, aims to bring the digital and print industries together to delve into the trends, technology, and innovations affecting both industries.
The linear virtual conference will be held online from 21 to 23 September 2021, and will be hosted on the Hopin virtual event platform, with content released throughout the three days.
The event aims to take attendees on a journey, exploring key topics around sustainability and innovation, including the arguments for why and how to innovate and stay sustainable, and what this could mean for your business as well as the environment.
Live sessions will include an array of speakers, where on 21 September US print veteran Frank Romano will open with the evolution of communication in print with his session ‘How did we get here?’. He will then look at virtual world communication in the present and future.
22 September will focus on innovation in technology, while 23 September will have a particular focus on the environmental side of sustainability.
Other speakers across the three days will include Olga Monroe from The Retail Institute, Jonathan Tame from Two Sides, Jon Bailey from Precision Proco Group, Beatrice Klose from Intergraf, and Printweek editor and publisher Darryl Danielli, among numerous others.
VMC is organised annually by BPIF special interest group CDI (Creative Digital Industries) in conjunction with Boss and founding partners Precision Proco Group and Creative Race.
CDI president and VMC curator Robert McClements said: “This year we have answered the challenge you, our audience, have posed. Tired of Zoom? Trying to get on with work without missing gems of knowledge?
“The VMC programme will guide you to pick and choose what you want from live world-class speakers and select pre-recorded sessions. I look forward to sharing the experience with you.”
McClements said the conference will bring a “TV Guide” of content from international keynote speakers providing panel discussions, Q&A sessions, and webinars. While the content will be available at fixed times, it will also be recorded and shared online to view at leisure.
