Responding to printers' issues obtaining finance, the Canon distributor offered customers the chance to rent its kit rather than buying it.
The Mitcham-based company offers service and support for the machine, only charging for ink usage, as well as the rental itself.
Sales manager Brendan Wright said: "We have been very pleased with the customer take up and customer installations are well ahead of projected levels. The Big Print Plan has been very successful with both first-time large-format users and experienced high-volume users."
Wright added that the company has already seen clients upgrade through the scheme, with one customer moving from a 24in machine to a 44in machine on the back of a contract win.
According to Velmex, it will also update printer software, drivers and add new media profiles as they become available as part of the scheme.
The plan covers the entire Canon image Prograf FP range from 17-60in, including 12 colour photo printers, Canon's 24-60in eight-colour production printers and all the 24-44in CAD printers.
