John Snell, managing director of The Reprographics Warehouse, has described the move as an "immense opportunity" for the company, which will keep its name but operate as part of the US family.
The Reprographics Warehouse, which serves the legal and financial markets among others, will also serve the US firm's customers that are involved in London-based projects.
The £1.6m turnover business employs 16 staff and operates a range of Océ equipment, as well as offering finishing and fulfilment services.
Snell said: "This is a fantastic opportunity for us and I am very happy to be part of this transaction. I think the synergies are immense."
He added: "We're looking forward to providing our existing customers with new software and services, and to act as a springboard to help ARC reach deeper into the UK and European markets."
American Reprographics Company employs more than 4,000 staff across the US and Canada, serving the architectural and construction industries.
K. Suriyakumar, chairman, president and chief executive of the American Reprographics Company, said the acquisition was "an important step in establishing its presence in the UK.
"With John and his team on the ground in London, we will be able to serve these clients far more effectively," said Suriyakumar.
