Aimed at the mid-range solvent-based market, the GFX2 is a 2.64m wide roll-fed piezo ink-jet printer. The company says it is capable of printing 45m/hr in photo-realistic mode, a speed that can be more than doubled for banners and billboards.
Andrew Wilson, sales director at agent B&P Graphic Systems, said: "The Uniform Grenadier GFX2 is suitable for sign-makers, bureaux and screen-printers, who want a cost-effective workhorse that is easy to set up and run."
It can be used with a range of uncoated and coated materials and has a heavy-duty take-up facility, supporting rolls weighing up to 100kg.
The GFX2 also includes an integrated system with three heaters and 10 blowers for fast drying.
Uniform claims the machine has a simple maintenance facility, removing the need for time-consuming cleaning procedures.
Uniform is supplying the printer with a choice of inks such as Activa Sol, which is free of potentially harmful elements such as ketones, cyclohexanone and isophorone, and CitroSol, a low-odour organic solvent.
