Executive vice-president Joanne David said: "The user can drop A4 pages, letter pages and other sizes in the same intelligent hot folder, without making different templates for each job."

The company unveiled Impostrip OnDemand Digital 5, which costs 1,600, at Ipex.

"Printers going digital want to be able to limit as much as possible any pre-press intervention, without losing quality," said David.

"OnDemand Digital is designed for high-volume document production with minimal operator intervention."

She added that if users drop in jobs with different numbers of pages, they will be automatically imposed. The system caters for manual or automatic workflow.

The package is a stand-alone tool on Windows and Mac. It processes PDF and PS files or works with JDF or .impworkflows.
