Electronic Solutions has appointed David Russell as technical sales director.
He joins the London-based repro house, which specialises in automated production and data management, at the beginning of next month and will take a seat on the board.
"We've grown massively in the past few years and needed to add someone on the sales side with a good technical understanding," said managing director Steve Hobbs. Russell will work with technical director Julian Skeels.
Electronic Solutions provides automatic page make-up and repro for clients including Renault, MFI and SpecSavers. It developed its own system in-house that links directly into customers' databases to ensure that up-to-date and accurate information appears in their brochures and adverts.
Last year turnover grew by 40% to 13.5m largely on the back of the automated production.
Russell joins from London-based one-to-one digital print specialist Trajan, where he was managing director. He was previously a director at Big Flower's UK operation.
Trajan chairman Anthony Broke-Smith said: "David has done a terrific job for us and taken it as far as he could. No one replaces him at this point, he did a specific job - and a bloody good one. What I really want to know is who's going to buy me breakfast now?"
