The six-colour machine has been installed at the headquarters of the Nottingham-based group.
Employing 200 staff in England alone, the group specialises in supplying retail packaging worldwide to a wide range of markets such as food – chilled and frozen, textiles and confectionery products.
Although the Wilkins Group has additional sites in China, Romania and Sri Lanka, the Komori investment will offer extra capacity for its UK operation.
The sale of the press came during a show where the manufacturer lauded the response to the launch for its new B2 machine, the Enthrone 29.
Komori used Ipex to launch the 13,000sph press, which was demonstrated in a five-colour configuration.
Philip Dunn, European marketing manager at Komori, said the Enthrone enjoyed a "highly successful launch" following a swathe of availability enquiries about the press.
He added that encouraging feedback from distributors and subsidiaries alike would help catalyse a positive future for the machine.
"That augurs well for the press, because such enthusiasm is the catalyst for active international sales activity on their part," said Dunn.
