The Metropolitan Police Authority tenders 55m print contract

The Metropolitan Police Authority has put out a five-year tender for a supplier to provide a "full print management solution".

The contract, which is worth between £40m and £55m over the five-year period, will replace the authority's existing agreement for multi-functional devices that expires in 2010.

According to the tender contract notice, the awarded party would be required to "streamline the print estate and maximises its efficiency", providing print devices, consumables and maintenance services.  The role will also include managing business processes to accommodate this new print strategy.

The tender, which closes on 13 November, also states that the contract may run for an additional two years if required.
