Workshop 05 will feature working and networked equipment from Komori, Muller Martini, Friedheim International and several others, at the event to be staged at Komori's Leeds premises from 18-21 October. Finance provider Print Finance is also a main sponsor of the event.
Two Komori presses, an LS640 and L28, will be demonstrated working in conjunction with a Screen PlateRite 8800 platesetter, Muller Martini Valore and PrimaPlus stitchers, and a range of equipment from Friedheim including a Schneider Senator guillotine, Bograma cutting and punching unit and Rotek pile turner.
The event will provide the first opportunity for UK printers to see the Tauler sheet laminator and Palamides Delta pressing, stacking and banding system, both from Friedheim. All the equipment on display will be linked via a Tharstern MIS.
Komori sales director Neil Sutton said the event put a new twist on the traditional supplier open house. "What you will see under one roof is the whole production process with totally independent suppliers," he said. "Other [suppliers] will offer a wide range of equipment but you will still be buying from that one supplier."
Jobs produced during Workshop will include materials for The Children's Society and the PrintIT! industry initiative as well as marketing collateral for participating suppliers.
