Leicester-based Senator has installed two Muller Martini Bravo stitchers, which were moved from parent Scorpio Print Finishers, creating space at the Leeds-based firm's factory for future investment.
"Our stitching capacity was a bit lopsided [between Leeds and Leicester] but this means we'll be able to service our customers more effectively throughout the UK," said Scorpio sales director Daniel Graham.
The four-station plus cover feeder, and two-station stitchers will run alongside Senator's existing three binding lines.
To build on the capacity hike Senator has also extended its work pattern to 24 hours, by adding a night shift to its double day pattern.
The firm is currently undergoing a recruiting drive to bolster all three shifts.
