St Ives tops Economist output

St Ives Peterborough has been named as The Economists highest performing supplier over the past year.

The high volume weekly is produced at seven sites worldwide.

"We compared all the sites' output for the last year and St Ives Peterborough had the highest average performance of all," said Sharon Simpson, International production director at The Economist.

Each location produces different volumes, on different equipment so performance was measured by comparing actual output and scheduled output at a set time.

"We're very pleased and very proud. It's probably the toughest schedule of any weekly in the country," said web division managing director David Emeny.

  • Meanwhile, St Ives has won the contract to produce the BBC's Match of the Day Premiership Guide for the forthcoming season. The cover will be printed at St Ives Roche while text will be handled at Caerphilly. It has a print run of 80,000 and goes on sale this week.
