The firm, a sister company of DocuMedia, is to move into the north of England market to offer prices better suited to customers in the region.

"It means that customers there will no longer have to pay London prices for Newcastle products," said Splash of London director Adolphus Agbasonu.

The company offers a 24-hour pre-press, new media, large-format, image capture and print service. Splash of London's current equipment includes an Epson 9600, B1 and B2 imagesetters and a Xerox DocuColor 12.

Splash of London was founded at the beginning of last year and, according to Agbasonu, it has taken on the new media and large-format side of DocuMedia with the purpose of expanding it.

"We feel that there is a market for new media services that is not being tackled," he said.
