The company is aiming the press at a range of colour print markets including transactional print such as charts, coloured text and highlights as well as direct mail, books and other print-on-demand applications.
The Versamark VX5000 outputs at 750fpm at a resolution of 300x300dpi and at a higher resolution of 300x600dpi, at a speed of 500fpm.
Kodak inkjet printing solutions vice president Ronen Cohen said: "For customers needing higher throughput for transactional documents, the Versamark VX5000 Plus System is the perfect choice.
"In a transactional environment, speed and costs are key considerations to remain competitive.
"The speed afforded by the VX5000 Plus gives fast turnaround times for variable data jobs while spreading fixed costs over more documents," he added.
