SIP 16 consultation deadline looms

A government consultation into SIP 16 guidelines and the pre-pack process will come to a close next week (24 June).

In March this year, the government announced that it would be looking into transparency in pre-pack administration sales.

It followed increasing criticism from industry, including the print sector, which claimed that pre-pack administrations were hurting businesses' ability to operate.

The consultation document, which can be viewed here, includes a series of options, including making disclosure requirements in SIP 16 statutory rather than just a guideline.

PrintWeek intends to collate comments and responses to the consultation on behalf of the print industry. Anyone wishing to add their views can visit the SIP 16 section of the printweek.com forum here.
