The Nottingham-based company has invested in the machine to expand its packaging work.
Sherwood Press managing director Graham Garrod said: "We needed additional kit to support our growth in packaging and the Easygluer gives us a versatile machine for the production of straightline, lockbottom and four and six-corner cartons."
The Easygluer is suitable for material of 200 to 600gsm and up to E flute corrugated. It’s output is up to 70,000 cartons an hour or 300m/min.
The company, which operates in China, Sri Lanka and Turkey as well as the UK, said the new machine would help to improve quality and its turnaround times.
Sherwood Press announced in October that it had also invested in a Komori Lithrone S40 press, which had helped the company to increase overall productivity by 35%.
Garrod said: "Though the new press, we have reduced downtime by almost 30% - with our long-term objective being to achieve 50%."
