Stephens & George, the Merthyr Tydfil-based short-run magazine printer, is beta-testing Enfocus Certify PDF workflow.
The software, which was released earlier this year, ensures pre-flighting has been carried out correctly at the publisher, preventing problems creeping in further up the production chain (PrintWeek, 12 January).
We encourage customers to use Enfocus Pitstop to pre-flight with our settings, said general manager pre-press Darren Coxon. Were beta-testing Certified Workflow it makes us more than 99% certain the file has been rubber stamped.
S&G, which won the PrintWeek Pre-Press Company of the Year Award last year, is heavily committed to the benefits of a PDF-based workflow. It has four staff who can show its customers how to prepare PDFs at their premises.
