Scully was until recently national sales manager for Creo UK, but has left and will join Nixon at KBA next month.

Nixon has been building up his team of sheetfed salesmen since he joined KBA as executive sales director for sheetfed presses in March. He said Scully, who brings the team up to seven, would not be the last appointment.

"I know Chris the guy can sell capital equipment," said Nixon.

Scully, who was mulling several offers before plumping for KBA said: "At the end of the day it's about selling value. KBA as far as I'm concerned is a rising star. I think the business in the UK will get much bigger."
