The triple-cassette Screen MA-L 16000 enables the VLF platesetter to operate automatically and without operator intervention for over nine hours.

The MA-L 16000 is the latest in Screen's range of plate-handling systems. The cassette enables up to 210 plates of three different formats from 450x370mm to 1,470x1,165mm, with a thickness between 0.15mm and 0.40mm, to be held online.

"Using this plate-handling system, printers can go home and leave their CTP devices producing plates all night," said Screen Europe product manager Rob Hageman.
