The company is rounding off its current investment in the new site and new press with a second Esko Artwork Kongsberg cutting table.
"The sheer volume of finishing work we've converted to our existing Kongsberg means we can't keep up with demand," said sales director Martyn Hicks "It's just such a useful tool, we've found so many uses for it - for everything from acrylics through to corrugated. At the moment we're doing a lot of work on foamboard and Dibond for Christmas. Our platens can't handle Dibond and the Kongsberg produces a much cleaner edge on foamboard than the platens."
The new cutter will also include a V-cutting head, to enable the company to produce 3D POS displays on corrugated boards.
A further investment in the pre-press division includes and Epson Stylus Pro 9900 for proofing, which is being driven by a Harlequin RIP to enable dot-for-dot proofing of the 65lpi output for its screenprinting presses.
The 55-staff business invested £750,000 in consolidating from three sites in nearby Elland to the Brighouse site. It is the first UK firm to install the Meital 302, a 300sqm per hour 3x2m UV flatbed printer, supplied by Litho Supplies' wide-format digital division Andersons.
