Average circulation for the Sunday paper, which is printed by Trinity Mirror's sites in Watford, Oldham and Saltire, stood at 230,053 for the month compared to just 203,110 in September.
Sales for The Guardian, which became a Berliner in September, held strong in the format's second month, slipping by just under 1,000 to 403,297 for October.
Meanwhile, The Times broke through the 700,000 barrier, posting a 0.6% increase to 703,492.
