The servo-driven press was installed in July at the firm's Royston factory.
Managing director Paul Clayton said: "We felt that the Nilpeter FA4 was a highly versatile and flexible system that would complement our existing technology. It further supports our drive to push the quality boundaries yet further in UV flexo technology."
He added: "The servo-driven press has tighter controls, which will help support ongoing targets of reducing waste, and tighter set-up times, in what is already a highly efficient manufacturing operation. The press will also significantly increase our production capacity."
The machine, which has a web width of 420mm, is capable of screen or flexo printing up to 12 colours onto a variety of substrates and features movable hot and cold foil units and over-lamination.
Clayton said the purchase is part of a wider investment programme at Royston Labels, which includes the expansion of its factory by 740sqm.
The Nilpeter press will enable Royston to offer faster turnaround times and improved efficiency through shorter set-up times and reduced wastage.
Royston Labels has been producing labels for more than 25 years and has experience across a range of industry sectors.
