Robert Hornes prices to rise by 4-10%

Robert Horne has become the latest paper merchant to announce price in-creases, following recent moves by Antalis, Map and PaperCo.

The firm intends to increase its prices by between 4% and 10% with effect from 1 November, and clarification will follow later on what products will be affected by the increases.

A letter sent to customers by the respective regional directors of Robert Horne has stated that it has been in negotiations with suppliers for some weeks on which products are to be affected and the timing and extent of the increases.

The letter cites that suppliers have said the reasons for the increases were due to unacceptable financial performance, caused by reductions in selling prices coupled with increases in operating costs.

Map, Antalis and PaperCo will increase their prices by 5-10%, 5-8% and 6-8% respectively during October. Robert Horne's paper prices to go up by 4-10%
