Surrey-based Bright Green Technology specialises in solid state LED backlighting systems for the signage and outdoor advertising industries.
Its systems are said to reduce the cost, carbon footprint and maintenance of using fluorescent tubes, improving the environmental performance and return on investment of backlit advertising and signage.
Bright Green Matrix, an LED backlight system that is designed to illuminate large-format signs, is included in the deal.
It is a patented suspended array of LEDs used to increase or decrease light input and offers an alternative to fluorescent tubes by reducing energy consumption by up to 80%.
Robert Horne said a typical retailer with 100 large illuminated display sites, each containing 40 fluorescent tubes, could save more than £600,000 over the lifetime of the signs. It could also reduce carbon output by 4,000 tonnes during the sign's lifespan, the group claimed.
Steve Lister, business development director for Robert Horne Sign and Display, said: "There has been a lot of initial interest in the new product from end users and sign makers, and Robert Horne is delighted to offer this new Bright Green Matrix LED system from Bright Green Technology.
"Recommending greener alternatives and saving clients costs are two of the most important considerations."
The deal takes affect from March and adds further clout to Robert Horne's existing range of LED products.
