Another top UK web role is vacant after Norman Revill resigned from MAN Roland agent PPS to join up with httprint, the online print matching service recently launched in Europe and headed up by Barry Hibbert.
Revill, commercial web sales manager for the UK and Eire, is still in negotiations with PPS over his departure. He resigned from his role during Drupa.
"My time with MAN Roland has been one of the most exciting and exhilarating points my career and I have thoroughly enjoyed every moment," said Revill.
He said httprint was "the beginning of something I think will be the future of the printing industry. Im really looking forward to it".
Hibbert said he was "very, very pleased" to have someone of Revills "prominence" on board. "In our marketplace you rely on having as many printers as customers. Norman will have a multi-faceted role, heading up our sales presence with printers." Revill would also have "a big input into the customer side", he added.
PPS would only confirm that Revill had left and that details were being finalised.
The web division directors role at Heidelberg UK will also need filling once Jim Todd steps up to replace George Clarke as sales director. "Were still looking for potential candidates," said Todd. "We want to find the right man for the job."
