Repro India gets a Ventura sewing machine after successful EFI run

PrintWeek India - Muller Martini has executed Repro India's order for a Ventura MC sewing machine, by airlifting the machine to Repro's plant at Surat in Gujarat. The high speed machine, which is presently being installed at the plant, will enable the company to cut cost on finishing work.

The investment follows the company's successful implementation of full EFI suite, which includes EFI Monarch, Digital StoreFront and PrintFlow to provide an integrated management system at its plant in Mumbai.

Baiju Gujarathi, senior vice president at Repro India, said: "In order to be competitive in today's market, print service providers need to have a real-time, end-to-end, 360-degree view of their business. Our home grown management solution had reached its limitations. We needed a modern equipment and a proactive MIS partner to ensure future success, so we selected Muller Martini and EFI."

The $60m company produces annual reports, IT manuals, catalogues, and magazines. One of India's largest producer of educational books for the global market, it can now offer its customers thread-sewn publications. It employs 600 people.
