Quentin Press expands site to bring binding in-house

Quentin Press has added 185sqm of floor space to its West Sussex site off the back of steady growth at the company.

The Burgess Hill-based printer now operates a 790sqm facility following the purchase of adjacent factory space. This will house new binding equipment set to be bought in the next few months.

Quentin Press hopes that its increased presence will raise the company's profile in the area while allowing it to take on additional staff in the process.

Director Mike Quibell said: "We really needed to expand to become more efficient and, by bringing binding in-house, we can make cost- and time-savings."

The 14-staff company serves a range of agency clients, as well as some in the educational sector. It produces work such as prospectuses and health and safety manuals, in addition to commercial brochures and folders.

Quibell said: "With support from our ever-increasing list of loyal clients, coupled with new client work, the last two years have been very successful for us and we’ve had to look seriously at expanding our premises."

Quentin press is ISO14001-certified and holds FSC and PEFC accreditations. It is part of the Gemini Group, which employs more than 200 staff across 11 companies and has a turnover of £20m.

Last month Concord Press, which is also part of the Gemini Group, said it is hoping to take on new clients and increase its workload after moving to a new site in Worthing.
