QuarkXPress upgrade price to be frozen until September

Quark has announced that users with old licences of its eponymous desktop publishing software, QuarkXPress, will be able to upgrade to the latest version for the same low price until 30 September 2009.

Users with old licences, from QuarkXPress 3 to QuarkXPress 5, will be able to upgrade to QuarkXPress 8 for £279 excluding VAT, while the full product can be purchased for £779.

Quark marketing director Gavin Drake said: "We know that there are a significant number of customers in the world that either continue to use older versions of QuarkXPress or are previous users of the software.

"What most people don't know is that if they act now they can get all of those old licences up to the latest version of QuarkXPress for the cost of an upgrade."

A free, fully functional 60-day "Test Drive" version of the software can also be downloaded.
