Quad/Graphics opens Tempt POP facility

Quad/Graphics is forging ahead with its PoP activity, opening a new 100,000 sqft POP and signage center at its subsidiary Tempt In-Store Productions in New Berlin, Wis.

Quad picked up the Tempt POP business when it acquired HGI in 2010 and has been looking to work with clients on consistent branding and messaging across retail inserts and in-store signage.

Tempt President Michael Draver said, "Our distinctive style of doing business and total-solutions approach has been embraced by a growing list of customers, and these sophisticated retailers and brand marketers are enabling us to invest in the future and grow our business."

Quad reportedly spent $13m on the new plant, which Draver said includes a new large-format (5'x10') digital UV flatbed press, a second large format UV offset press, as well as a customized finishing and fulfillment operations. "Our digital and traditional print solutions - combined with highly customized programs executed at the store level - give our customers the specialized messaging their in-store marketing programs need to drive greater results and ROI," he said.
