The Radstock-based cross-media specialist's pre-tax profit was £538,000, up from £117,000 in 2010. Turnover increased from £25.9m to £28.2m. It also reduced net debt from £4.1m to £3.3m.
CFH managing director Dave Broadway said that the growth of new products, such as its Docmail hybrid mail service, had led to the improved results and expected 2012 to be another strong year.
Broadway said that the turnover achieved by Docmail had actually increased 250% year-on-year.
Employee numbers remained steady, rising from 210 to 215, although the company did pay out £150,000 in redundancies.
CFH picked up a number of contracts in the period, including a recently-won deal with clinical software company EMIS.
Broadway said: "It’s been a very good year’s trading, with many new contracts on our traditional print and document management services, including electoral services and annual billing for councils throughout the UK and with some major charities.
"We are feeling confident about the next 12 months. We have had a really good start to this year, with £1 million profit in the first five months. The market remains challenging but everyone at CFH is feeling extremely positive about the future."
