The Leicester-based business opted for the press, specified with an inline colour inspection system, to boost its print firepower and modernise its fleet.
With an existing five-colour Speedmaster SM 74-5, the 22-staff company said it wanted to boost productivity with newer B2 technology.
Naresh Tank, managing director at Printank, said: "On our seven-year-old SM 74-5 we are making ready in 15-20 minutes, but with the Speedmaster XL 75-5+L with Inpress Control we will achieve makeready in seven to 10 minutes."
The printer, established in 1989, serves clients in design agencies, print management firms and other commercial customers.
Its new five-unit press offers the ability to provide spot colours and comes complete with the Prinect module Pressroom Manager to link its pre-press, press and Tharstern MIS.
Tank said: "It's a tough market, one that's becoming increasingly competitive. By investing now, we're taking another step to put us one step ahead."
Following the press spend, the company plans to bolster its sales team.
