The print procurement business was set up at the end of last year.
Simon Forster has now joined the firm as non-executive chairman. He has a long track record in retail and was managing director of Selfridges, where he worked for eight years until last year. Prior to that he held board level roles with Debenhams and TK Maxx in a retail career spanning more than 20 years.
Alongside his non-executive roles, he currently acts as a retail advisor to a number of organisations.
Forster said he was impressed with Print Hub Global’s “unique” approach, and its business model whereby its project costs are free to buyers.
“I am delighted to be joining Print Hub Global. I was impressed with this fresh, innovative concept and the energy and experience of the team that has been brought together to help transform the print market as we come out of the pandemic,” he said.
Managing director Chris Kelly said he was delighted to have Forster on board.
“We are thrilled to have Simon join our business as chairman and know that his background, experience and wealth of knowledge within the retail industry will bring a unique approach and add huge amounts of value to our board, employees, clients and suppliers.”
He added: “Whilst it’s been a challenging time for the print industry, in recent months we have definitely noticed an increase in trade and activity as things start to pick up in both the retail and live events industries.”
Print Hub Global involves a consortium of experts. The founding team was also joined by former Hollywood Monster account director Mike Clarke earlier this year, who became sales and commercial director.
Its services include consultation, procurement and buying, surveying, project management and logistics.
The business is a sister company to Hub Global Group, which supplies hygiene products and PPE.
