PPA consults Scandinavians

The Periodical Publishers Association (PPA) has invited Finnish forestry companies Metshallitus and Stora Enso to brief its environment committee on the work being done to preserve high conservation value forests.

PPA legal and government consultant Richard Henchley said he had also invited environmental organisations WWF and Greenpeace to attend the meeting, which will be held at the PPA on 15 December.

Greenpeace has stepped up its saveordelete.com campaign to protect high value forests in Finland, gaining endorsements from many top UK authors (PrintWeek, 9 October).

Metshallitus and Stora Enso will brief PPA members on the discussions they are involved in to identify and preserve high conservation value forests.
