The 2024 Power of Print seminar, which is now in its 14th year, will take place at Stationers' Hall in London on 5 November, this year with a strong focus on packaging.

The seminar, which is organised by Two Sides and the BPIF, and in partnership with Canon, Fedrigoni and Printweek, promises to bring together expert speakers from across the spectrum of print, publishing, paper-based packaging and beyond.

The day will feature the customary talks from BPIF CEO Charles Jarrold and Two Sides managing director Jonathan Tame.

Jarrold will give his yearly overview of the current economic, political, and technological challenges facing the print industry and look at what lies ahead for 2025.

Tame, meanwhile, will update delegates on the recent work done by Two Sides and the Love Paper initiative. Tame commented: “Print has always played an essential communications role. Even in the current landscape, the power of print remains unassailable and this year’s seminar will highlight the opportunities, and indeed challenges, for print in this ever-changing world.”

Other presentations during the day will come from speakers from the DMA, Canon Europe, Ogilvy UK, The Absolut Company, and Tony’s Chocolonely, as well as Jonathon Porritt, a writer and campaigner on sustainable development, and Kate Hulley, the owner and manager of Belmont Packaging and Boxed Up Packaging, based in Wigan.

Meanwhile, NOA’s founder and owner Neil Osment, a business development consultant for the paper packaging industry, will look at what lies ahead in paper packaging, while James Pryor, co-founder and managing partner of structural packaging and product innovation agency Touch, will focus on the future role of packaging.

Immediately following the day event, which runs from 9.20am to 5pm and includes lunch and refreshments, there will be an evening drinks reception.
